Actor Han Jung Soo, who’s currently starring in MBC‘s ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘ as the Grim Reaper, shared a photo taken with co-star Shin Min Ah on the set of their drama.

The actor recently updated his Twitter page with the photo above and wrote, “Arang and Moo Young’s once enjoyable time together~^^ Please tune into ‘Arang and the Magistrate’~ ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ fighting! To the staff members who are still working hard right now, fighting!”

Actor Han Jung Soo is known for his tough and charismatic image due to his role as the Grim Reaper in the drama, but the recently shared photo shows otherwise. In the photo, the two stars are seen putting on a playful expression that reflect their true personalities while dressed as their characters.

Fans and netizens tweeted back to the actor with comments like, “You guys seem to be having fun on set!“, “Jung Soo oppa and Min Ah unnie, you guys are so cute!“, and “Good luck on the filming!”

Actress Shin Min Ah thanks fans for the gifts of food

Actress Shin Min Ah, who’s busy filming as Arang on MBC‘s ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘, recently uploaded a proof-shot of the packed meal she received from her fans.

On September 5th, the actress updated her me2day with the post, “Thank you! Min Ah gallery and Min Ah Angels! Thank you for coming all the way to the filming site. I ate it well^^,” and attached the photo above.

It seems her fans had prepared gifts of food for the actors and the staff, and came to the filming location to personally deliver the presents.

Fans flooded the comment section with comments like, “You’re so pretty, unnie!“, “I’ll be tuning in to this week’s episode as well!“, “Arang fighting!“, and more.

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ releases new still cuts of Shin Min Ah

MBC recently uploaded new still cuts of actress Shin Min Ah on the set of the Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘.

The newly released photos show the actress taking advantage of her standby time by drawing several portraits of her co-star, Lee Jun Ki. It’s said that the two drew comical portraits of each other while joking around, brightening the atmosphere on set.

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is a story about the meeting of a ghost (played by Shin Min Ah), who wants to discover the truth behind her death, and a ghost-seeing Magistrate Eun Oh (played by Lee Jun Ki).

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ kicks off to a strong start

MBC‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘ has kicked off to a great start, grabbing the second in ratings out of all the dramas in its time slot.

According to AGB Nielson Media Report, the pilot episode of the drama, recorded a 13.3% and 13.2% on August 15th and 16th respectively, for viewer ratings nationwide.

Its rival dramas include KBS‘s ‘Bridal Mask‘, which scored a 19.4% and 19.7% in ratings and SBS‘s ‘To the Beautiful You‘ which drew in a rating of 7.3% and 5.7%

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is a story about the meeting of a ghost (played by Shin Min Ah), who wants her unfair death to be recognized, and a ghost-seeing Magistrate Eun Oh (played by Lee Jun Ki).

In related news, Shin Min Ah made a pledge to wear a traditional Korean hanbok and dance to Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies” if viewer ratings surpasses 15%.

Lee Jun Ki donates 10 tons of rice thanks to fans

Actor Lee Jun Ki recently donated 10 tons of rice given to him by fans.

At the press conference of the upcoming MBC drama, ’Arang and the Magistrate‘, which was held at Seoul Grand Ambassador Hotel on August 10th, he received 10 tons of rice from his overseas fans in Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and more. The gift was sent to congratulate him on his return to the screen after getting discharged from army service. The large amount sparked interest as 10 tons of rice is reported to provide meals for 86,000 people.

Lee Jun Ki’s agency IMX responded, “We found out that the fans abroad have been collecting for the donation since 3 months ago. We are thankful and grateful or the fans’ support, and after discussing it with Lee Jun Ki, we’ve decided to donate the rice.”

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is Lee Jun Ki’s comeback project. He’ll be playing the role of ‘Eun Oh’, a magistrate who can see the ghost of ‘Arang’ (Shin Min Ah). The first episode will be broadcast on August 15th.

Shin Min Ah reveals she is addicted to Lee Jun Ki’s personality

Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah recently complimented one another while discussing their excellent teamwork for their upcoming drama, ’Arang and the Magistrate‘.

During the drama’s press conference held on the 10th, Shin Min Ah confessed that she had become totally addicted to cast mate Lee Jun Ki’s personality. “I’ve never seen another actor like him. He has a very positive and bright personality. At first, I was a little thrown off by it, but soon I became addicted to it.”

Lee Jun Ki also commented on Shin Min Ah’s acting stating, “I definitely had high expectations for Shin Min Ah. I really anticipated seeing her play the role of ‘Arang’.”

Shin Min Ah also compared her new role with her previous role in the drama ‘My Girlfriend Is A Nine-Tailed Fox‘, stating, “Although Gumiho was a youthful and lovable character, Arang is very wild.”

Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah’s new drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ to air a special episode before official broadcast

MBC’s new drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘ will air a special episode this week for fans before the actual drama beings to air.

Titled ‘To Enjoy ’Arang and the Magistrate’ 100 Times More‘, the special episode is set to air on the 9th at 9:55 pm KST.

With a star cast of Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah, the drama has already received much hype.  However, it seems the production staff will try to impress the audience even more. The drama special will take the viewers behind the scenes of the set, and also show viewers how CG effects were used to create some of the scenes. Along with character introductions, the special will be full of surprises for fans waiting eagerly for the upcoming show.

The first episode will air a week after the special episode on August 15th.

Lee Jun Ki beats the heat by reading on the set of ‘Arang and the Magistrate’

Actor Lee Jun Ki has been absorbed in books as his character on the set of MBC‘s new drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘.

On August 3rd, several still cuts from the drama were revealed, many of them featuring the actor reading intently as his character. Even when the cameras were off, it was revealed that Lee Jun Ki continued to read on set, showing the camera staff his own interest in books. The staff also revealed that the actor had been filming all night, but still showed his passion for acting, keeping the atmosphere on set lively, even after a tiring night.

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is based off a folk tale of the same name and follows the story of a ghost who tries to figure out how she died. The drama will featured other well-known actors like Shin Min Ah, Yoo Seung Ho, and more.

The pilot episode of ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ will air on August 15th.

Actress Shin Min Ah showed off her exceptional beauty yet again in a photoshoot for fashion magazine ‘High Cut‘.

The actress’ flawless milky skin, goddess-like figure, and signature expressions came together to result in a truly impressive pictorial. For the cover photo, the actress took an especially daring pose and pulled of the ‘Lolita Charm’ look.

During the interview, Shin Min Ah commented on her 20s, saying “I think I was too lazy. I also worried too much and there were parts I was too conceited.” Regarding her 30s, the actress said, “I want to find something special about myself. I want to work hard at something outside of acting to surprise people.”

Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah compliment each other on ‘Section TV’

Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah showered each other with compliments on the latest episode of ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay‘.

Reporters of MBC‘s ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay’ visited the filming set of upcoming drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘, to interview the two lead characters.

Lee Jun Ki, who complimented Shin Min Ah’s beauty in the past, stated, “Nothing has changed. She’s beautiful. I feel like I’m looking at a celebrity.”

His praise for the actress continued, “Shin Min Ah is passionate, has an easy-going personality, and most of all, she’s beautiful.” When asked if there were any memorable episodes while filming with the actress, he replied, “Her acting alone is memorable,” causing everyone to laugh.

On the otherhand, Shin Min Ah commented regarding Lee Jun Ki saying, “He has an upbeat personality, is passionate, and has such a pretty face.”

MBC’s ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ will begin airing on July 25th.

IU voted as the #1 star fans hope will maintain an innocent image

Fans are hoping that IU will continue to maintain her innocent image.

The upcoming June 10th episode of cable channel Y-STAR‘s ‘Curious‘ will reveal the results of a recently conducted survey.

For the survey, 200 random citizens were asked which celebrity they hoped would never overly expose their body figure.

Expectedly, the ‘nation’s little sister’ IU came in first place, and her fans expressed that they hoped she would always remain as pure and charming as she is today. Fans also voted for actress Shin Min Ah, expressing that they would most likely be jealous of her flawless figure. Male fans also voiced that would like to see actress Lee Min Jung maintain her pure & innocent image.

In a related survey, many fans placed their votes for G.NA for a celebrity whose pretty face is often overshadowed by her perfect Barbie-doll figure.

Shin Min Ah and Lee Jun Ki finish first script reading for ‘Arang and the Magistrate’

Stars Lee Jun Ki, Shin Min Ah, and the rest of the cast and crew from MBC‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘, completed their first script reading on May 12th.

MBC revealed photos of the first script reading session, which showed the cast and crew members gathered around a table. It’s reported that director Kim Sang Ho also took an hour to earnestly give background information on the drama, the planning process, and more.

As the cast and crew gear up for filming, Lee Jun Ki left a supportive tweet on May 21st that read, “Start of the long-awaited drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ that has a mixture of fun, pleasantness, mellowness, inspiration, and heartbreak! I’ll work hard to represent the hard effort our staff has put in! I hope that our filming goes well. Fighting!”

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is a fantasy-fusion drama with Arang (Shin Min Ah), a ghost wanting to know the reason behind her death, and magistrate Eun Oh (Lee Jun Ki), who has the ability to see ghosts.

This will mark Lee Jun Ki’s comeback into the entertainment industry after being discharged from the military back on February 16. Actress Shin Min Ah is also returning to the small screen for the first time since ‘My Girlfriend is Gumiho‘.

‘Arang and the Magistrate’ will begin filming in May, and will starring in July in ‘I Do I Do‘s time slot.

Lee Jun Ki’s first impression of Shin Min Ah, “I felt like I was looking at a celebrity”

 

It seems as though 2AM‘s Seulong isn’t the only celebrity who’s a huge fan of Shin Min Ah. Actor Lee Jun Ki guested on a recent episode of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ and revealed his first impression of Shin Min Ah.

Reporter Park Seul Ki began by discussing his drama comeback. “I heard you’ll be making a comeback through the upcoming drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘.”

After being officially discharged from the military back on February 16th, Lee Jun Ki landed a role for upcoming MBC historical drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate’.

In response to the reporter, he nodded and spoke up about his first impression of actress Shin Min Ah, who would be playing the lead female role in the drama. “I felt like I was looking at a celebrity,” he said, bringing much laughter on set.

“When we first met, I continuously praised her which caused her to say a few words.” As the reporter and viewers were left curious to know her response, Lee Jun Ki finally revealed, “She said ‘you’re making me feel uncomfortable’,” causing viewers to burst into laughter.

In addition to the segment, footage of Lee Jun Ki recently celebrating his 31st birthday with fans was aired.
