J.Y. Park caught between Spiderman and the Dark Knight

Singer and producer J.Y. Park, who recently transformed once again into an actor, expressed his concern for his film among fierce competitors.

On the 22nd, JYP wrote on his twitter, “To the left and right of me are two mind-boggling competitors. What must I do to survive between them?” also sharing a photograph with his words.

The photograph he revealed was a picture of the poster of his film ‘5 Million Dollar Man’. Humorously enough, the poster was surrounded by the posters of the Hollywood productions, ‘The Dark Night Rises’ on its left, and ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ to its right.

Netizens who saw then picture commented, ‘I hope you show us the power of Korean films’, ‘The movie genres are different so I’m sure the distinctive charms of each movie will shine through’, ‘I am looking forward to the future of the actor Park Jin Young’, and more.

In the comedy film, J.Y. Park plays the role of lobbyist Choi Young Jin, who somehow winds up running away with a five million dollar money case.

J.Y. Park selects Wonder Girls’ Yenny and Yubin as his drinking buddies

J.Y. Park revealed his drinking buddies to be none other than the two oldest members of Wonder Girls‘, Yenny and Yubin.

The singer / producer guested on the July 7th installment of KBS‘s ‘Entertainment Relay – Guerilla Date‘ and stated, “Among the artists in JYPE, Wonder Girls are the ones that keep me entertained.”

When asked who his drinking buddies are, J.Y. Park drew the attention of viewers by selecting Yenny and Yubin.

In addition to the interview, J.Y. Park promised that if 1.3 million people watch his upcoming film ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘, he’d hold a fanmeeting while being dressed up as Miss Korea.

J.Y. Park and Wooyoung have a makgeolli date

2PM‘s Wooyoung recently shared a heartwarming photo taken with J.Y. Park.

On July 7th, the singer uploaded the photo above and left a message on Twitter that read, “Last night with the tranquil sound of rain… Makgeolli (Korean rice wine)… And green onion pancake… Jinyoung hyung and I shared a few interesting stories for the first time in a while and rooted for each other’s success! Keke.”

In the photo, the two are seen each holding a bowl of makgeolli in hand as they smile for the camera. Fans left various comments such as, “It’s heartwarming seeing you two together“, and “Makgeolli is the best on rainy days“, “You two look like a father and a son.”

J.Y. Park is eagerly waiting for the premiere of his upcoming film, ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘, which hits theaters on July 19th, while Wooyoung is scheduled to release his solo debut album, ‘23, Male, Single‘ on July 8th.

JYP proves to be a true fashionista

Singer and producer JYP (Park Jin Young) appeared in a recent pictorial, attracting a lot of attention.

Appearing in pictorials for various fashion magazines, JYP embodied his character for the upcoming movie ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘, making the photoshoot even more entertaining.

In the photoshoot, JYP did not disappoint. He lived up to his nickname of being a fashionista and displayed impeccable style and shining individuality.

JYP’s success in the pictorials demonstrated that he was truly capable of dominating all areas of the entertainment industry. With his role in ’5 Million Dollar Man’, entertainment company CEO and singer JYP will also declare his debut as a movie actor. ’5 Million Dollar Man’ unveils two new official posters

Two new posters for J.Y. Park‘s upcoming film, ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘, have been unveiled!

Featuring all of the leading roles in addition to J.Y. Park like Min Hyo Rin and Jo Sung Ha, the posters depict the cast in sharp suits and dresses, playing up to their character’s unique traits. J.Y. Park plays the role of ‘Young In’, a man asked to deliver $5 million USD in slush funds from his boss only to later find out that the boss had intended to kill him.

True to his role as a gangster, actor Oh Jung Se is depicted with a unique hair style and armed with a baseball bat while Min Hyo Rin is wearing a dress in each poster despite being entangled as a runaway with J.Y. Park in the film.

The movie hits theaters on July 19th.

Min Hyo Rin reveals she felt like a JYP trainee while filming for ’5 Million Dollar Man’

Actress Min Hyo Rin, who stars in the upcoming movie ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘ alongside J.Y. Park, revealed that she felt like she was a trainee under JYP Entertainment while filming for the movie.

At a press conference for the movie held on June 13th in Seoul, Min Hyo Rin responded to the question, “What kind of advice did you give to rookie actor J.Y. Park?”, to which she responded, “Rather than me giving him advice, I was the one receiving comments by him.”

“If I spoke with a tired voice during the script reading, J.Y. Park would come over to me and say, ‘When did you wake up?’, ‘You slept again didn’t you?’, and ‘You have to wake up early.’ Even during filming, if I don’t do my stretching, he would take me to a corner and make me exercise. It felt like I became a JYP trainee.”

’5 Million Dollar Man’ is about a company’s director’s plot to pocket 5 million dollars worth of lobbying fund resulting in a comedic pursuit. J.Y. Park stars as Choi Young In, who is a businessman that gets caught up in the money pursuit, and teams up with actress Min Hyo Rin.

J.Y. Park talks about new upcoming movie, ’5 Million Dollar Man’

JYP Entertainment‘s J.Y. Park shared his thoughts on taking up a role in his first big-screen film.

J.Y. Park attended the ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘ showcase held in Apgujeong on June 13th and remarked, “Being labeled a rookie makes me feel extremely nervous and anxious, but I like this feeling.”

“The writer of ‘Slave Hunters‘ told me that there was a script he had written with me in mind,” he continued. “I received the script later on, and I was so honored that the greatest writer in Korea would think of a rookie like me while writing a new project. I was so dumbfounded and happy, wondering how such good fortune had found someone like me.”

J.Y. Park made his entrance onto the K-Pop scene as a solo artist in 1994, and transformed into a producer in 1999, since producing some of today’s greatest artists. Having displayed his acting skills in ‘Dream High’ previously, J.Y. Park continues to show his fans different sides of himself.

His new movie ’5 Million Dollar Man’ hits the big screens on July 19th.

J.Y. Park’s ’5 Million Dollar Man’ to hit theaters on July 19th

J.Y. Park‘s new film ‘5 Million Dollar Man‘ has undergone some date changes regarding its release.

Previously, producers announced that it’d hit theaters by June 28th, but final changes have shown that it will be out about a month later on July 19th. There isn’t a reason for the delay, but anticipation for J.Y. Park’s movie debut still runs high!

J.Y. Park will be playing the role of ‘Choi Young In’, a businessman that finds himself with a bag of cash and embroiled in a company director’s attempt to pocket $5 million worth of lobbying funds. Despite the heavy premise, the movie is described to be a comedy.
