Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha receives numerous love calls for drama and movie projects





Singer/actress Brown Eyed GirlsNarsha is receiving numerous love calls for both small and big screen projects following her role in the recently concluded MBC drama series, ‘Light and Shadow‘.


According to Nega Network on July 18th, Narsha has been receiving various drama synopsis and movie scenarios. After carefully reviewing each deal, the singer will soon be deciding on her next project.


Meanwhile, Narsha has become the most sought-after female artist for upcoming movies about the showbiz. With her easy-going personality, acting ability, and sexy performances as a singer, Narsha is being labeled as the ‘next Uhm Jung Hwa‘.


Not too long ago, Narsha met with reporters for an interview and selected Uhm Jung Hwa as her role model. ”I’m really a huge fan of sunbae Uhm Jung Hwa,” she said. “I have come to realize how difficult it is to be acknowledged as both an actress and an artist, something Uhm Jung Hwa has accomplished. I really admire her. After trying my hands on acting, it felt like I was experiencing a new world, but I hope to work harder and follow the footsteps of sunbae Uhm Jung Hwa.”

Uhm Jung Hwa in discussion for a new drama and movie







Singer/actress Uhm Jung Hwa is rumored to be gearing up for a small screen comeback for the first time in three years.


According to broadcast officials, Uhm Jung Hwa has been in discussion for a role in MBC‘s new weekend drama, ‘Give Me Gold‘.


‘Give Me Gold’ is the newest work of writer Ha Chung Ok and is described to be a family centered drama that features the characters discovery the meaning of family. Should Uhm Jung Hwa be confirmed for the drama, she’ll be playing the lead character ‘Mong Hee’, a divorcee with a daughter who dreams of becoming a jewelry designer.


A representative of her agency revealed, “It hasn’t been that long since she’s received the offer. We’ll have to wait and see when we discuss the finer details.”


Uhm Jung Hwa has prior experience working with Ha Chung Ok for a 1997 SBS drama. In addition to ‘Give Me Gold’, she’s also looking forward to a big screen comeback with ‘Montage‘. Representatives stated, “We’re positively considering her a role in the film and are balancing the details. The movie will begin filming in August or September, and should everything align, she might be able to pull off both a movie and a drama.”

Lee Hyori congratulates Uhm Jung Hwa for Paeksang award





Korean diva, Lee Hyori recently took to her Twitter blog to congratulate actress Uhm Jung Hwa, on her recent Best Actress Award at the ‘48th Paeksang Arts Awards‘ ceremony.


On April 28th, Hyori tweeted, “Unnie, it’s late, but congratulations.  It’s not important that you won the award, but….you know you have been awesome and doing well, even before you got the award right?


Moments later, Uhm Jung Hwa tweeted back with, “Thanks! Woohoo! That’s encouraging!


As the two are known for being one of the most respected female seniors in the music industry, both of them have maintained a strong sunbae-hoobae relationship.  It appears that the two stay in touch frequently; K-Pop is fortunate to have these role models as two of its representatives.


In related news, Uhm Jung Hwa attended the ’48th Paeksang Arts Awards’ and received the Best Actress Award trophy through her latest film, ‘Dancing Queen‘.
