Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung expresses her gratitude for her fellow members

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung showed her appreciation towards her fellow members for supporting her throughout her drama debut.

During the press conference for tvN ‘Third Hospital‘ held on August 29th at Seoul Nonhyundong Imperial Palace Hotel, Sooyoung said, “(Girls’ Generation) members came to almost every one of my drama shootings until they were over.” She added, “For example, even though the set was far from Seoul, Tiffany commuted for an hour and a half just to give me cupcakes,” revealing the close bond they share with one another.

Sooyoung also expressed her gratitude when she said, “They could have just sent a text message or sent something over, but the fact that they took the time to come (in person) was very touching.” She continued, ”So after the drama is over, I told them that I would treat them all out.“

Meanwhile, the first episode of ‘Third Hospital’ will air on Wednesday, September 5th at 11 pm.

Actor Oh Ji Ho is disappointed his kiss scene with Girls’ Generation’s Soooyoung was cut on ‘Third Hospital’

Actor Oh Ji Ho expressed disappointment that his kiss scene with Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung was cut.

At the press conference for tvN‘s ‘Third Hospital‘ on August 29 KST, Oh Ji Ho commented, “There were two kiss scenes with Sooyoung in the drama, but in the end, we couldn’t do them. I’m not sure why we couldn’t have the kiss scenes. I think it might be related to the fact that a lot of Sooyoung’s fans would be worried.”

In the drama, Sooyoung plays the part of ‘Lee Eujin’, who’s in love with childhood friend and violaist ‘Kim Seung Hyun’ (Oh Ji Ho). Unfortunately, Kim Seung Hyun does not feel the same.

Oh Ji Ho stated, “It’s in the screenplay so [it wasn't my decision]. If it was reality, I feel like I would’ve felt really sorry [about it].” He also revealed, “Sooyoung’s older sister appears in a scene in ‘Third Hospital’. Whether it’s because I’m familiar with Sooyoung’s sister, it felt really different acting [together].”

‘Third Hospital’ will air its first episode on September 5 KST.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung poses for ‘Singles’ magazine and receives praise as an actress

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung has been cast as the main lead of a drama for the very first time.

‘Third Hospital‘ will air it’s pilot episode on September 5th, but ahead of this, her co-stars have been praising the singer on her newly discovered acting skills.

Actor Oh Ji Ho remarked, “I think Sooyoung is the best actress within Girls’ Generation… but my favorite member is Tiffany,” displaying his true identity as an uncle fan, while veteran actor Kim Seung Woo also added, “Everyone will be extremely surprised after seeing the first episode because she is such a great actress.”

The singer turned actress shared her acting experience with ‘Singles‘ magazine and participated in a photo shoot which will be available in the September publication!

4minute’s Jihyun to make a special appearance on ‘Third Hospital’

4minute‘s Jihyun will be making a special appearance on tvN‘s upcoming medical drama, ‘Third Hospital‘.

During the recent filming of the drama, the singer, who will be playing herself, brought out her acting abilities to realistically portray the scene she was in. In the drama, Jihyun visits the hospital after her muscles go into shock due to falling from the stage. Despite the blazing hot weather, Jihyun managed to maintain a smile on her face and helped to create a lively and energetic atmosphere on set while working alongside actor Oh Ji Ho.

The singer had a performance lined up that day, but showed her dedication by making the time to come and shoot her scene. She earned the praise of the staff members after displaying her ability to focus during the time she was on set.

‘Third Hospital’ tells the story of a hospital that practices both western and eastern medicine, and is also Girls’ Generation Sooyoung‘s first drama as one of the lead cast members.

The first episode airs September 5th.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung talks about acting for the first time on ‘Third Hospital’

Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung confessed she went into a state of panic when filming ‘Third Hospital‘ for the first time.

A press conference for tvN‘s ‘Third Hospital‘ was held on July 31st, and it was here that Sooyoung revealed, ”I panicked when I stepped in front of the camera for the first time to shoot the drama.”

Although she has been taking acting classes since she was a trainee, the singer will be making her official acting debut with ‘Third Hospital.

Sooyoung stated, “It wasn’t easy to stand before the camera as an actress. On ‘Third Hospital’, I play the character of Lee Eujin who likes senior Oh Ji Ho‘s character, Seung Hyun. [Eujin] is a student studying the Viola, but I didn’t know how to play the instrument so it was very difficult at first. It has gotten a little better now with some practice. I am actually thinking of continuing to practice [the viola] and making it my specialty.”

Her character ‘Lee Eujin’ is a viola student studying abroad in Germany. She fell in love with Seung Hyun (played by Oh Ji Ho) the first time she laid eyes on him in high school, however, after meeting Kim Doo Hyun (played by Kim Seung Woo) at the hospital, she begins to fall for his sensitive charms.

The singer also displayed her gratitude to her fellow members at the press conference as she stated, “Each of the Girls’ Generation members took turns visiting the set. They came with vitamin drinks that they had bought, and offered the set new energy.”

‘Third Hospital’ which stars Park Geun Hyung, Kim Seung Woo, Oh Ji Ho, Kim Min Jung, and Sooyoung begins airing September 5th at 11PM KST.
