Cast and crew of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′ suffer from food poisoning at Madagascar





The variety program ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ is about a a group of celebrities tackling the wilderness and dealing with its harsh reality. The newest expedition, to Madagascar, got their first taste of how unforgiving the jungle could be when some of its members suffered from an acute bout of food poisoning after eating unidentified plants.


The problems began when, after eating some fruit from a nearby tree, cast members Ricky Kim and Jun Hye Bin suffered bouts of pain in their intestines, followed by a couple of the crew members.


The situation grew more serious until the producers finally called a halt to production and brought in a medical crew to treat the affected cast and crew members.

Kim Byung Man reveals how he became good at everything





Comedian Kim Byung Man is known as the man who can handle everything with ease – from jumping down a staircase on a pogo stick to shooting wild waterfowl with a single shot, he seems to never fail. On the latest episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘, he expounded upon his set of skills.


“I was very poor as a child,” he confessed when Ricky Kim asked him why he always tried so hard in everything. “I wanted to earn money quickly by learning a trade. So when I was in my third year in high school, I went to the Occupational Training Center and earned myself a certificate.”


“From middle school to high school, my height was always ranked #1. Since I was small, I needed to start earlier than everyone else if I wanted to compete,” he finished.


During that same talk, Ricky Kim also confessed to his troubled childhood, cast out from society for being both Korean and American at the same time.

Ricky Kim reminisces over being bullied as a child





The Korean-American actor Ricky Kim brought up bad memories of his childhood days on the latest episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘.


Being neither a full-blooded Korean nor a full American, he reminisced over the days when he would be outcast as a child for not ‘fitting in’.


“When I came to Korea, I was treated as an American, and when I went to America, I was treated as a Korean. So I was always an outcast.” he remembered. “So I exercised and studied as hard as I could, because I thought the only way I could beat them was to be in first place. I wanted to show them I was a person.”


“I always kept my head down. I would never have enough confidence to raise my head. I just studied very hard,” said Ricky Kim, whose English name is Ricky Lee Neely.

Ricky Kim sends a tearful video message to his family on ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′





Actor Ricky Kim shed tears as he was shown a video message from his family back in Korea.


The June 17th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ aired the crews’ last days on the island of Vanuatu.


After a long day searching for food and hiding from the scorching summer heat, the crew gathered around a camp fire and were each given a surprise video message from their families back at home.


Ricky’s wife, Ryu Seung Joo, and their 13 month old daughter were seen together leaving a supportive video message saying, “We’re doing fine, so don’t worry about us and do well on the recording!


Although it was a short message, it immediately brought Ricky into tears as he hasn’t seen his family in days. He responded with a video message of his own saying, “I’ll be on my way home next week. Have fun playing with Mommy and stay healthy. I’ll see you guys next week. I love you Taerin.

ZE:A’s Kwanghee drops out of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′ due to leg injuries





ZE:A‘s Kwanghee has dropped out of SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ Tundra edition.


Kwanghee’s agency, Star Empire Entertainment shared on May 4th, “Kwanghee decided to drop out from ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′ Tundra edition after he injured his leg while filming in the 60 degrees below zero cold.


According to the agency, Kwanghee returned to Korea on May 26th alone and has been receiving treatment from the hospital.


Kwanghee was expected to return after half a month of filming when he left for Tundra on May 18th with his co-stars, Kim Byung Man, Noh Woo Jin, Ricky Kim, and Lee Tae Gon.
