YG’s new girl group member Jenny Kim to be featured in G-Dragon’s “That XX” MV!

It has been revealed that YG Entertainment‘s first ‘mystery girl’ Jenny Kim will be featured as the female lead in G-Dragon‘s new music video titled “That XX“.

Since April, YG Entertainment has been revealing ‘mystery girls’ through their official YG-Life Blog and building up the anticipation for their new girl group this year. Jenny Kim, who was the first ‘mystery girl’ to be revealed by YG back in April, was able to successfully film for G-Dragon’s upcoming MV for “That XX”, which will be released on September 1st.

Jenny Kim was born in 1996 and has garnered wide attention for her pretty looks and it has also been reported that Yang Hyun Suk has chosen her as a trainee for her ability to speak fluently in Korean, English, and Japanese, as well as her talented dancing and singing. YG shared that her image was a good fit for G-Dragon’s new single and decided to put her as the female lead for the music video.

The ages of YG’s new girl group members garner interest

Ever since photos of YG Entertainment‘s new girl group members have been released, fans have been showing a lot of interest in the group and especially in the members’ young ages.

What they found interesting is that the members revealed so far are all born between 1993 and 1996.

Kim Eunbi is the oldest of the group as she was born in 1993. Kim Eunbi first appeared on ‘Superstar K2‘, and made it to the top 6 with her vocal talent. Another confirmed member is Euna Kim who was born in 1994. She failed to make it to the top 10 of ‘Superstar K3‘, but impressed viewers with her overflowing talent and potential.

The other two mystery girls are actually younger than Kim Eunbi and Euna Kim. The first mystery girl whose name is Jenny Kim was born in ’96, and has been training at YG since a very young age. The second mystery girl was born in ’95, and is garnering interest for her innocent and pretty face.

YG Entertainment responded to questions about the girl group stating, “We can’t say anything yet.”

Fans are curious about the image that this new girl group of the teen generation will portray. There are speculations that YG plans to debut its new girl group sometime this coming September.

Music industry insiders speculate that YG’s new girl group will debut in September

YG Entertainment‘s new girl group has been garnering a lot of interest among K-pop fans even before their debut. Every time YG released a new photo of a potential girl group member, the reveals immediately ranked #1 on various portal sites. This has left fans to naturally question when their actual debut will be.

YG has currently revealed 4 potential members so far, with 2 members confirmed for the girl group. Similar to 2NE1‘s debut in 2009, YG has been very careful in the way they release information about the debut of their new artists. The agency has kept their mouth shut on any information concerning the members of the new girl group and their debut, always offering the vague answer of “nothing has been confirmed yet”.

Despite the vague answers and lack of details, there are rumors within the music industry that YG’s new girl group is set to debut in the coming fall around September.

On May 8th insiders in the music industry revealed to Star News, “YG always meticulously prepares and shows their unique marketing strategy before a group’s debut. Just because they revealed some information about the new members does not mean they will publicly reveal this group right away. Producing the perfect song that matches with the new girl group’s style and image will take at least a couple of months. When you look at this from multiple perspectives, there is a great possibility that this new girl group will debut around September. This prediction also takes into account that YG has previously mentioned that the debut of the group will take place within this year.”

Currently, there are only two members, Euna Kim and Kim Eun Bi, confirmed for the new girl group, while the other two still have yet to be officially confirmed by the agency.
