B1A4′s Gongchan displays a more mature image with ‘L’Officiel Hommes’

B1A4‘s Gongchan has partnered up with ‘L’Officiel Hommes‘ to show off a new look!

The idol recently adopted a more matured and manly image for the latest pictorial. Casting aside his more gentle and boy-ish look, Gongchan has effectively captured the eyes of fans with his new image.

He was even referred to as the classic icon James Dean, and was praised by the staff on set as he brought out his manly charisma with the slicked up hair and the stronger eyebrows, which emphasized his smoldering gaze.

B1A4 members go on a date with three lucky female fans!

On the 10th, The Star held a ‘Find B1A4′s Queen of Supporters!‘ event in celebration of their three year anniversary.

Three lucky female fans were given the opportunity to spend quality time with B1A4 members Jinyoung, Baro, Sandeul, CNU, and Gongchan, enjoying breakfast together and even getting to partake in a couple arm-wrestling competition during the date.

How did B1A4 spend their first vacation?

The B1A4 members went on their very first vacation in three years.

Fans reported sighting the members in their hometowns of Cheongju, Chungju, Busan, and Suncheon starting on July 28th.

According to WM Entertainment, B1A4 never got a day to rest since their trainee days because of their busy schedule of album production and promotions. Since Gongchan went home to recover after his recent surgery, the rest of the members went on their first vacation in three years to recharge.

The agency shared, “The members each went home to spend time with their families for their first vacation. Jinyoung went to his old school to visit his teachers.” It’s been reported that Jinyoung happily gave his autographs to the hoobaes who gathered after recognizing him.

Jinyoung also tweeted, “Happy eating out with the family~ Delicious samgyupsal! What was Bana’s dinner menu?” and shared a picture he took during his meal. Even during his vacation, Jinyoung showed off his love for his fans by asking them about their dinner menu.

Then, Gongchan tweeted to him, “Hyung! I’m eating chicken, while watching judo. I miss my hyungs,” and shared the picture of him smiling brightly as he held chicken pieces in both hands. Fans were able to see the close friendship among the members when CNU tweeted to Gongchan, “Is the puppy feeling better? Eat a lot of delicious food, and don’t eat just anything you find. I miss you too.”

After their sweet vacation, B1A4 will focus on preparing their new album and continue being fathers on KBS‘ ‘B1A4′s Hello Baby‘, which started airing on July 25th.

B1A4′s Gongchan undergoes surgery, removes kidney

It has been reported that B1A4‘s maknae, Gongchan, is currently recovering after receiving a kidney removal surgery on the morning of July 23rd.

According to Gongchan’s doctor, “Gongchan was diagnosed with congenital narrowing of his ureter, leading one side of his kidney to not function at all.  Therefore, we decided on a surgery to remove one of his kidneys.”

The group’s agency, WM Entertainment, stated:

During promotions for ‘Sleep Well, Good Night’, Gongchan had complained of pains in his side. After receiving a complete medical checkup at the hospital, it was revealed that his kidney was not functioning well. However, Gongchan had a strong desire to continue with promotions and receive surgery after the group’s activities, so we decided to delay his surgery. Whenever Gongchan experienced pain, he’d receive painkillers and continue with promotions. He always had a bright smile while thinking of his fellow members and his fans, making his medical condition unaware to the public. Gongchan had personally asked to keep the news of his surgery quiet because he did not want to cause unnecessary concern for his fans.

Gongchan is currently recovering after a successful surgery and will be hospitalized for a week. The idol will be able to return to his daily activities after being discharged from the hospital, but will need to avoid promotional activities for the time being.

Meanwhile, B1A4 concluded their album promotions and are now busy with their individual activities. The group will also be showing off a different image through KBS‘s ‘Hello Baby‘, airing on July 25th.
