VIXX releases new Android app for ‘VIXX TV’

VIXX‘s YouTube broadcast show ‘VIXX TV‘ has been released as a special Android application!

Since May, the boys have been showing various facets of their day to day lives every week on their official YouTube channel. To reach out to a larger audience, the boys decided to take their show to the mobile stage by releasing a ‘VIXX TV’ app for on the go entertainment.

The reality show is directed by the boys themselves and features footage of the group hanging out and in their natural element, off the stage. Since its beginnings, the show’s offered English subtitle services for international fans and has thus earned a lot of love from overseas fans with each new episode.

The app will include special bonus features like ringtones recorded by the members themselves and a fun frame that allows you to take pictures with VIXX. The free service will also allow you to download updates on the boys like never-before-released photos and music videos.

TVXQ makes history on the Oricon with ‘Android’

TVXQ has rewritten history on Japan’s Oricon charts once again with the success of their newest single, ‘Android‘.

Released on July 11th, ‘Android’ not only topped the Oricon daily single chart on the day of its release, but went on to top the following Oricon daily charts and now the weekly chart as of the 17th! This marks the group’s 11th time topping the Oricon weekly chart, bringing their total units in sales up to date to 3.1 million units.

The Oricon stated, “In its first week of release, TVXQ’s new single sold 152,000 units and topped the Oricon weekly singles chart. This brings TVXQ’s total to 3.1 million units to date, which makes them the biggest selling international artist to have broken the 10 year and 10 month long record of the Carpenters, who sold 3,002,000 units.”

TVXQ’s previous record includes being the first international artist in 45 years to top the weekly singles chart 10 times with ‘Still‘. Their recent achievement with ‘Android’ has topped their own record once again.

The boys recently completed their 550,000 fan member tour and 100,000 fan member fan meet.

TVXQ’s “Android” PV previews released

TVXQ is gearing up for their release of their latest Japanese single “Android“. In addition to the album covers and audio preview that have been revealed earlier, previews for the upcoming PV have been aired on Japanese TV recently.

Aired on ZIP and Mezamashi TV, the previews offer a sneak peek into the upcoming music video for the group’s newest dance track.

The single is set for a July 11th release, and it’s already claimed the #1 spot for pre-orders on charts like Tower Records, Amazon, Tsutaya, and more. “Android” is the first dance song TVXQ will be releasing in Japan after “Superstar”.

The ‘Android’ single will include two new tracks titled “Android” and “Blink“, and will be sold in three versions: a CD-only version, a CD+DVD version, and a Bigeast (official fanclub) CD version with special footage from the group’s ‘Tone Live Tour 2012‘.

TVXQ tops Japan’s Tower Records with pre-sales for concert DVD + upcoming single

TVXQ has proven their unwavering popularity in Japan by ranking in at the top of Tower Records!

The duo ranked at first and second place with their upcoming limited DVD release and single, ‘Android‘, on the Tower Records pre-sales chart for May 27th.

Scheduled for release on July 25th, the blu-ray DVD features full length performances of the duo’s ‘TONE‘ tour, which took place between January and April to a crowd of 550,000 fans, along with their Tokyo Dome concert on April 15th.

The limited release also includes footage from their Saitama Super Arena concert on March 18th.

‘Android’, which is set for release on July 11th, will include two new tracks titled “Android” and “Blink“.
