Kim Jang Hoon pokes fun of airport fashion

Singer Kim Jang Hoon recently humored fans with his airport fashion choice.

On January 20th, Kim Jang Hoon took to his me2day to comment on the celebrity trend of wearing high-style airport fashion.

“I’m in China. As soon as I left Korea, I took a picture,” he said. “If you’re going to do airport fashion, then you have to at least dress up like this. I wore this rice cake soup service apron to represent Korean New Year’s as well as the coming of spring in China. Tomorrow, I have a full day performing. As soon as I finish work over here, I’ll return [to Korea].”

The singer then posted up a photo of himself sporting a bright orange apron at the airport.

In response to the hilarious snapshot, netizens commented, “This is a genuine concept of airport fashion”, “Kim Jang Hoon, fighting!”, and “It matches you well.”

Kim Jang Hoon on MC Mong: “I thought he was going to die”

Singer Kim Jang Hoon is becoming a hot topic after he wrote a long post about MC Mong on his minihompi.

Kim Jang Hoon is known for speaking out on issues related to depression and panic disorders, and he noticed that his industry junior was showing some alarming signs.

“I came across the idea of death as I was writing a letter to a little girl fan who passed away at such a young age,” he began. “I sent MC Mong and his close friend to America for vacation, out of my fear that he would die.”

Kim Jang Hoon continued, “For about a year, he didn’t go out and practically lived inside his house or at the studio, receiving harsh criticisms and hostile arrows. Living was probably not living for him. From what I saw, he had symptoms of depression and signs of a panic disorder. …Because I went through an emotional breakdown myself, I got alarmed and sent him on a vacation.”

He also added a few personal thoughts on MC Mong, saying, “There are different ways of judging a celebrity’s behavior. It is all based on the people and their emotions.”

“The celebrity can be found guilty by law, but still perform on stage; on the other hand, even though the celebrity was found ‘not guilty’ by law, if the people feel that the act was wrong, then the celebrity is ultimately guilty. In that sense, I can understand those who give such criticisms; although they are sometimes brutal, I believe that they are on point.”

“MC Mong as a man would have been really confused, caught in between the public’s opinion and the law. During the process where he tried to prove that he was not guilty, he probably felt that he was obligated to enlist in the army. Even if he was proven to be innocent, he became aware of his faults and understood those who were criticizing him completely. To this day, he is still trying to find ways to enlist in the military.”

“There are some who question the relationship between MC Mong and I, asking when did we become so close? Honestly, before this happened, I never privately met him. I saw him during his Mnet days and I grew less fond of him as I thought that he changed due to his increasing popularity.”
“However, one day, I heard of him through mutual friends. They said that MC Mong always took care of those who were close to him, both in a materialistic and personal way. I was really surprised, since I personally think that it is important to take care of those who believe in me; I was happy when I heard that about him.“

“I didn’t really do much for him. I did little things such as bringing a plate of sushi during Chuseok and having drinks with him, or sending him on a vacation like now. If people were to criticize me, then they are right, I am stupid, I am throwing rocks at those who are giving me their love…”

“I told MC Mong (and he agreed when I said this) that thinking and reflecting is the only way we could fix things. What I could do as a hyung is when he is getting hit by hundreds of rocks, I can sneak in for a bit and block at least five of those rocks so that he can breathe a little.”

He ended his post by saying, “I heard that Korea has the #1 suicide rate; whenever I read articles on celebrities committing suicide, I get emotional. I just think, if only one person could have stood sincerely next to that person, then it might have been prevented. There might even be someone who is looking for a helping hand right now.”

“Many of you know that just last year, I admitted I had depression and suffered symptoms of panic disorder. Regardless of who is watching, I am going to get rid of the problem that I’ve held inside of me. I know there will be those who will criticize me for even writing this, but I will gladly accept that as well.”

Kim Jang Hoon shares a story about a past relationship

Singer Kim Jang Hoon guest-featured on SBS Radio PowerFM’s Jung Sun Hee’s ‘A Night Like Tonight‘ and shared a story about his first love.

“We broke up during a time I wasn’t making a lot of money and I was commuting via public transportation. I was on the bus after the breakup and a sad love song came on the radio,” he said. “The lyrics sang, ‘I said I was still striving for things I’ve yet to reach. That I would be better off the next time our paths cross’. It was as if they were singing about me, about not being able to stand tall before the woman I loved because I was still a nobody back then. I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.”

“My eyes were so swollen and I wanted to get off the bus, but I didn’t even have enough money for a transfer.”
He provided some comic relief after his heartbreaking story, by revealing that he had an interesting jinx. After he broke up with his first love, she moved overseas and so did every girl he dated after her.

“People told the girls around me to try dating me if they had plans to start a new life in a different country,” he joked.
