G.NA meets up with the Trouble Maker duo backstage at ‘Music Bank’

“2HOT” singer G.NA shared some adorable selcas taken with the Trouble Maker duo, Hyunseung of B2ST and HyunA of 4minute.

She posted to Twitter on the 30th KST, “At yesterday’s ‘Music Bank‘, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten together with sexy Hyun-bak and awesome Hyunseung! It’s my last performance [on the show] so seeing them gave me strength~ Hyun-bak & Hyungseung = 2HOT TROUBLE MAKER baby.”

The three idols definitely look like they’re having fun in the photos G.NA shared.

Fans commented, “I guess G.NA’s close with Trouble Maker,” “Beauty competition between HyunA and G.NA?” and “How can you guys be this adorable~.”

Did G.NA kiss a female backup dancer on Inkigayo?

Singer G.NA is receiving a lot of attention for seemingly kissing a female backup dancer.

On the June 24th broadcast of SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘ hosted by Lee Jong Suk, Kwanghee of ZE:A and Krystal of f(X), G.NA came out and sang her new track ‘2HOT.’

’2HOT’ is composed by Kim Do Hoon and Lee Hyun Seung with lyrics by Choi Gap Won and is a song with a nice beat that fits well with its electronic sound.  The sound of the song is really dynamic because of its use of brass instruments and strong bass.

G.NA performed while wearing a black top with gold sequins and hot pant and showed off her power and sexiness.  But what really caught the attention of many was not her outfit or her song but an effect that made it seem that she as locking lips with a female backup dancer during one of the poses in the choreography.  However, a rep has confirmed that this was just an optical illusion.

Still, the pose fits the song because it was just TOO HOT!

G.Na gains confidence as a female solo artist

G.Na gained a lot of confidence as a female solo artist.

On the 8th, G.Na took home the trophy for winning 1st place on the K-Chart on KBS‘ ‘Music Bank‘ with her new album’s title song, “2HOT“. The win was an overwhelming moment that hasn’t happened for about 15 months since last March.

On June 10th through Cube Entertainment, G.Na talked about her acceptance speech and her thoughts on her career. G.Na shared, “It didn’t feel real. Even when they announced the winner, I didn’t realize I won. As soon as the MC next to me told me, ‘G.Na you won,’ I just kept on saying ‘Oh my god!’ and couldn’t think straight.”

G.Na continued, ”I think I behaved like that more because it was an unexpected win. Thank you guys for the love even though it hasn’t been that long since my comeback.”

G.Na’s win is even more meaningful because she bypassed the idol groups that have always been strong on music programs. The song “2HOT” that brought home the honor is a fun song produced by hit maker Kim Do Hoon, which accentuates G.Na’s vocals and feminine beauty. The ‘thigh dance‘ that stresses her toned thigh muscles have been a hot issue even before her comeback.

G.Na shared, “The fact that many people like my album is very helpful and I gained the confidence to do better in the future. Currently where idol groups are dominating, I’m gaining the confidence to do well as a solo female artist.”

She added, “To make all the fans who support me and listen to my music happy, I feel that I shouldn’t become cocky and try harder with a bigger passion for every performance.”

G.NA thanks fans for her “2HOT” ‘Music Bank’ win

Cube Entertainment shared a photo of G.NA with her 1st place ‘Music Bank‘ trophy on June 9.

The agency posted on Twitter, “Thank you for giving so much love even though it hasn’t been long since [G.NA] has made her comeback. The fact that many people enjoy it gives her a lot of strength, and it also gives her the confidence to do better in the future. G.NA plans on being even more hard working, healthy, and cheery.”

The “2HOT” singer seemed ecstatic as she tweeted after ‘Music Bank’ on the 8th, “Today, I got an unexpected 1st place on ‘Music Bank’! I genuinely thank you so much! I was so surprised I didn’t get to thank everyone. Composers Kim Do Hoon and Lee Hyun Seung, lyricist Choi Gap Won, and our hardworking star system choreography team, Sae Hwan oppa, Tae Bum oppa! Sol Mi unni! I love you!”

G.NA later added, “To KBS‘ ’Music Bank’ that gave me such a meaningful award! & my baby loves G.NI’s! Thank you so much for giving so much love to G.NA’s ’2HOT! I’m gaining strength from you guys! I’ll work even more passionately! I love you, my CUBE FAMILY!”

G.NA talks about making her comeback and what it’s like to be a solo artist

Having made her comeback with her new mini-album ‘Bloom‘, soloist G.NA sat down for a brief interview with Oh My Star before heading up on stage at KBS‘s ‘Music Bank‘.

She began by expressing, “I’ve never had a stage I was completely satisfied with, but I do feel that I’m improving with each new day.”

G.NA’s first comeback stage was during the recording of KBS’s ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘ on May 22nd, which was aired later on the 25th. “My album was released digitally on the morning of the 22nd so the audience wasn’t familiar with my title track, ‘2HOT‘. The reaction was different compared to my ‘Black & White‘ promotions so I was bit taken aback.”

Coincidentally, the background music was accidentally cut in the middle of her “2HOT” stage, so G.NA was forced to perform it again. The audience had time to get used to it the second time around and started cheering her on. “Since the song was released on the same day of that performance, I can understand why they reacted that way.”

Following the performance, she headed straight back to her rehearsal room to practice until the early hours of the morning in preparation for ‘M! Countdown’. “I didn’t sleep that well but the more I practiced, the more I noticed that my facial expressions and gestures were getting better. There was a part of me that was always frustrated with my inability to express what I wanted to freely, but I think this time around, it will be different.”

At the mention of the slew of comebacks being made by other top female soloists, she stated, “People think that there’s a limit to what a soloist can accomplish, but it’s not true. There’s no end to the promotions. ’2HOT’ is a completely different image to what I showed before, and I want to be a singer that continues to try new things.”

Leessang and G.NA battle it out on music charts for the #1 spot

With hip-hop duo Leessang and singer G.NA releasing their new albums around the same time, the competition for the top spot on music charts is hotter than ever.

Leessang recently pre-released their new single, “My Love“, from their eighth album ‘Unplugged‘ and it immediately ranked #1 on Melon, Soribada, and Bugs music charts. Meanwhile, G.NA is currently reigning the Mnet and Olleh music charts with her new single, “2Hot“.

Right after the pre-release of several tracks from ‘Unplugged’, Leessang accomplished an all-kill earning them the nickname “music chart kings”. G.NA also recently made her comeback with a new sexy concept, which has become a hot topic.

Leessang’s “My Love” was released on the 23rd, and gives listeners a romantic melody with the help of an acoustic guitar. The lyrics tell the story of a man who learns how to love from a woman who loves him unconditionally. G.NA also made her grand comeback to the music scene with “2Hot”, which has a retro rhythm, electronic sound and brass instruments that make the song refreshing to listeners.

Leessang’s full-length album will be released on the 25th, while G.NA is currently preparing for her comeback stage.

Ahead of the official release of her comeback music video for “2HOT“, G.NA has gone ahead revealing a new teaser image for the release!

Surrounded by chiseled firemen, G.NA stands proudly at the center in an adorable Hollywood-inspired outfit that plays up her sexier, feminine side. A lot of transformations have been made for her comeback, the most obvious being her two-toned pink ‘doll hair’, which she’s also sporting in the photo.

“2HOT” features a retro melody in a musical style fashion that gives emphasis to a sexy choreography that will definitely be turning heads.

With her comeback right around the corner, G.NA has once again gone through another transformation with a new hair color!

The singer, who has gone through many hair color changes in the past, has not disappointed as she has surprised us with another look with the help of her two-toned pink hair. The hair suits the sexy and feminine concept of her upcoming title track, “2HOT“, and has raised anticipation for the music video to go along with the song.

“2HOT” is reported to have a disco feel with a fantastic melody line, in addition to a sexy choreography that will emphasize G.NA’s feminine nature.
