MBC‘s ‘I Am a Singer 2‘ is a reality show that takes a dozen top singers from South Korea through a competition. One of the show’s biggest names, legendary artist Kim Gun Mo, was absent from the latest episode, and the producer of the show stepped forward to explain.
‘I Am a Singer’ producer Kim Young Hee stated, “The singers’ battle for August was supposed to take place last week, but due to the other singers’ schedules, it was pushed forward. Kim Gun Mo wanted to attend, but at a concert stage yesterday, he was out in the rain and subsequently fell ill. He apologizes for not attending due to his health. Please give him a round of supportive applause.”
Kim Gun Mo attended his solo concert on the day before filming, where he stood in the rain for three hours giving his performance. Since he did not attend this recording of ‘I Am a Singer 2′, he has expressed his desire to leave the program.
