It was revealed today by numerous insiders within the broadcast industry that After School’s UEE has received an invitation to appear in upcoming KBS 2TV drama ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ (airing every Wed/Thus) and is now considering the offer.
UEE’s management agency, Pledis Entertainment, expressed in a phone interview, “We have indeed received the drama offer. But we have on hand received 6 offers for UEE at the moment. ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ is just one among the 6, and we are considering on whether we should accept it.”
UEE is one of a select few idol singers who have made a successful transition into the acting field. After playing minor and supporting roles in dramas like ‘Queen Seon Deok’ and ‘You’re Beautiful’, UEE then secured leading roles in ‘Birdie Buddy’ and ‘Ojakgyo Brother’s and won lots of recognition and love from viewers for her acting.
‘Jeon Woo Chi’ talks of a Taoist wizard Jeon Woo Chi who hails from Banseo, an ideal nation set up by Hong Gil Dong. Jeon Woo Chi then descends on the Joseon nation to seek revenge, but finds himself as a hero after saving the commoners from hardship.
The drama will take over the slot vacated by ‘Nice Guy’ this November on KBS 2TV.
