Filming for the upcoming movie ‘Alumnus‘ starring Big Bang‘s T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun) has come to a sudden halt.
Through a phone conversation with StarIn on September 6th, Park Eun Kyung, head of ‘Alumnus’ production company ‘The Film‘ remarked, “Director Park Shin Woo has stepped down from the movie. The differing perspectives became a reason for the change in directors.”
The shoot for the movie had already come to a halt as of last month. Only about a third of the entire movie has been filmed so far, and the staff members are looking to find a new director to continue with the shoot, however, they have yet to decide on a particular name.
Park continued, “We are currently in the process of selecting a new director. The issues we will have to face because of the change in directors, such as the portion filmed by director Park, will be resolved after discussing it with the new director.”
Despite this change, the leads such as T.O.P, Yoon Jae Moon, Cho Sung Ha, Han Yeri, Kim Yoo Jung, and more will continue to play their current roles.
Meanwhile, ‘Alumnus’ is a melo-action film that tells the story of Myunghoon, who in an attempt to save his younger sister accepts an order to infiltrate South Korea and act as an assassin. The movie was scheduled to be released as soon as late this year, however, the anticipated release date may now be postponed due to the change.
