Wonder Girls host a special event to celebrate their Japanese debut

To celebrate their first major Japanese release, girl group Wonder Girls hosted a special fan event to showcase their debut single “Nobody” among other performances.

Prior to the event, a press conference was held for the girls to express their excitement to pursue their latest goal in their career; the breakthrough in the Japanese industry.

“We’re so nervous and excited to be promoting in Japan,” exclaimed Yenny, “It’s always exciting to perform in front of a new audience. We hope we can get to know our Japanese fans a lot better, and maybe even have our own concert for our Japanese fans in the near future.

I think it’s our first time performing at a venue where we can be this close to our fans,” said Sohee, “We have a lot of songs prepared for you guys, so I hope you will all join in to sing and dance.

On the topic of Wonder Girls’ sound and performance, Sun answered, “Our music features addictive melodies with fun dance moves that are easy to follow. Our musical aim is to make music that’s not only fun to listen to, but fun to watch as well!

Meanwhile, the girls released their debut Japanese album ‘Nobody for Everybody‘ on July 25th and managed to rank #7 on the Oricon charts just a day after release. The girls will also be busy preparing for their performances with their labelmates as a part of the upcoming concert, ‘JYP Nation‘ in Korea and Japan.
