After School wraps up their first Japanese solo concert





Girl Group, After School has successfully wrapped up their very first solo concert in Japan!


On April 27, the girls kicked off their ‘Play Girls‘ concert in Tokyo, Japan.


Since the launch of their Japanese debut single, “Bang“, the girls have been busy traveling back and forth from Korea and Japan, carrying out their overseas promotions and domestic activities. The girls finally got the chance to hold their very own, solo concert, which they prepared hard for.


Uee who received a rookie award at the ‘48th Paeksang Arts Awards‘ ceremony, expressed, “I’m so grateful for receiving the Actress Rookie Award at the Paeksang Arts Award and holding a solo concert.  As much as we have practiced and fans have waited, we will show our best performance.”


On the concert night, the girls performed a series of songs, off of their first Japanese album, “Play Girls”.  They belted out and danced along to hits like “Gimme Love“, “Broken Heart“, and “Rip Off“.  In addition, they also performed their hit tracks, “Diva“, “Ah“, “Shampoo“, and other songs, bring up the total count to 22.


It was also reported that member, E-Young played the electric guitar, surprising fans with her diverse talents.  On the encore stage, new member Gaeun stole the spotlight with her charms, as she fluently spoke in Japanese.


The girls are also scheduled to perform at Nagoya and Osaka on the 28th and 30th, respectively.  After School plans to make their comeback in Korea with the 17 year old rookie member, Gaeun in June.
