Veteran singer and professional pop DJ Bae Chul Soo shared his thoughts on Tablo‘s first solo album ‘Fever’s End‘.
Kim Tae Won, Lee Juk, Gae Ko and other artists highly praised Tablo’s first solo album, and Bae Chul Soo was no exception. He stated, “Tablo’s music may just have gone beyond the Hip Hop genre.”
He continued, “Listening to Tablo’s album, I felt like his music has matured to a new level. So maybe going through a difficult and painful time isn’t necessarily a bad thing…”
Singer Yoon Do Hyun also encouraged Tablo by remarking, “The fact that I am able listen to Tablo’s music again truly brings joyful tears to my eyes. Tablo speaks through his music, and he doesn’t disappoint.”
Veteran singer Yoon Jong Shin also said, “It’s a new and improved Tablo… My hope is that you will reap as much benefits as how much time and energy you have invested into this album. You truly worked hard.”
Not only did he receive the encouragement and support of his seniors, but he’s received a lot of love from fans as the first part of his album earned the #1 slot on major music sites in Korea immediately upon release.
‘Part 2′ of ‘Fever’s End’ was recently released on the 1st, and also received explosive response from fans. It reached #1 on the iTunes Hip Hop Chart as well as achieving an all-kill on national music charts.
The following are the messages the singers sent out to Tablo.
Bae Chul Soo: “What does it mean to attempt Hip Hop in Korea? Do the Korean people even respond well to Hip Hop music? This is something I have wondered during the 20 years I have worked as a Pop music DJ. The result has usually been negative, but after listening to Tablo’s album I realized that I may have been wrong all this time. This is the proper way it should be done. Tablo’s music may have just gone beyond the Hip Hop genre… Listening to his album, I felt like like his music has matured to a new level. So maybe going through a difficult and painful time isn’t necessarily a bad thing…”
Yoon Do Hyun: “No matter how much you love someone and how much you feel like you can’t live without that person, the second they turn their back on you… you can never see them again. But that joyful moment when that person turns back around and returns with a small smile… that’s how I felt when Tablo returned. The fact that I am able listen to Tablo’s music again truly brings joyful tears to my eyes. Tablo speaks through his music, and he doesn’t disappoint.”
Yoon Jong Shin: “It’s a new and improved Tablo… My hope is that different from how things were before, you will reap as much as how much time and energy you have invested into this album with your improved voice and music. You truly worked hard.”
