The five-member girl group proved its popularity, ranking the highest out of hallyu stars in Japan. The result was a pleasant surprise for the group as it ranked after the five members of Arashi, a Japanese boy group, who took the top five spots.

The survey of teenage girls in Japan placed KARA as the only foreign group in the top ten, beating out popular Japanese girl group AKB48 as well.

Hello Venus earns the praise of R&B legend Kim Jo Han

Rookie girl group Hello Venus has received praise from R&B artist Kim Jo Han.

Upon hearing the girls sing, “R&B Daddy” Kim Jo Han was reportedly unable to hide his surprise and joy over the girls’ talents.

Kim Jo Han praised, “Main vocalist Yoo Ara‘s clear, deep voice and Alice‘s distinctive vocal color left a lasting impression on me.”

Even since before their debut, Hello Venus was known for the amount of support they received from handsome actors like Ha Jung Woo, Kim Sung Soo, and Joo Sang Wook. Kim Jo Han himself has been named the vocal teacher of many of the top idols today, so his praise goes a long way in terms of credit.

Hello Venus responded, “We’re so grateful to receive the support of Kim Jo Han, a senior we really respect. We’ll work hard to promote and show an even better image of ourselves.”
