Hwanhee to star in upcoming K-Pop film, ‘Star: Radiant Love’

A new film titled ‘Star: Radiant Love‘ (‘Star‘) starring former Fly to the Sky member and now soloist, Hwanhee, will soon be hitting theaters.

The movie tells the love story of Hallyu’s greatest K-Pop star and a woman swept up in a scandal with him. This is Hwanhee’s first attempt at playing a lead role in a film, and he will be acting alongside rookie actor Kang Yo Han, and Kim Soo Yeon. In addition to the love triangle portrayed in the movie, the film is also drawing interest as it includes the songs the main characters themselves have recorded.

Hwanhee, who is currently serving as a public service worker, was cast for this particular role and wrapped up filming before he enlisted in the Korean military. Japan has invested in the production of this particular film, and 60% of it was filmed at the Ishigaki Island of Okinawa, and 40% in South Korea.

Once the film is released in Korea on October 11th, it will also be released in Japan.
