Any roles she will be able to master it with her own interpretation.

The selections of Kim Hye Soo’s works are always exciting and anticipating, and she never let the audience disappointed. Before the release of her new movie, "The Thieves" (directed by Choi Dong Hun), the reporter had a chance to meet with Kim Hye Soo for an interview on July 19 at Lotte Hotel in Seoul. She is just as charming and stunning even in simple black garment as she appeared. She is an actress who is regarded as both sensual and intelligent. Her new movie, “The Thieves” has been stirring up some noise and been receiving good reviews since the screenings; except for Kim Hye Soo, other cast members include, Kim Yoon Suk, Jun Ji Hyun, Lee Jung Jae, Oh Da Soo are all A-list actors and actresses.

In “The Thieves”, Kim Hye Soo took the role of Pepsi, a beautiful vault thief who is specialized in safe breaking. Pepsi has a heart full of scares and wound, she is also very greedy and true to herself, she has a basic instinct to be a thief that she wants anything valuable. When it comes to the discussion about the role, Pepsi, she said, “Usually, you could easily find the characters in director Choi Dong Hun’s movies have classy and prominent personalities. However, the role as Pepsi is not the case. After studying the script, I found the character is complex and has much substance, I have added my own interpretation into the role and give it another life.”

She continued, "The characteristics of Pepsi is not the type of woman with a gorgeous and classy image, but rather, it is a role who has the dark gloomy side and it is the mysterious charm which attract the viewers. At the beginning, I was worried about whether if I could master this role. In general, artists add in their own interpretations and make their roles alive via the scripts, however, the lines in Pepsi’s script are more obscure, which means likely you will not be able to make yourself to stand out. Thus, to me this role is a challenge and adventure. "

Kim Hye Soo has worked with director Choi Dong Hun early in 2006 in his masterpiece, " Tazza: The High Rollers". Kim Hye Soo said, "In the year end of 2010, I received the proposal for this movie, at that time I was busy with the shooting of a TV series, but the script has brought into my attention right away."

In Kim Hye Soo’s perspective, the role as Pepsi maybe a challenge, but to the public, the role is like tailor-made none other but her because of her very talented acting skills and experience.
