Shortly after releasing their new single in Japan, Girls’ Generation has already risen to second place on the Oricon chart.
According to June 28th’s Oricon chart, just one day after its release, Girls’ Generation’s new single ‘PAPARAZZI‘ already raked in 42,525 sales.
Released a year and 2 months after their debut in Japan, ‘PAPARAZZI‘ is a song that has a dream-like feel and refined, sophisticated beats.
Girls’ Generation had already set a record in Japan. Their Japanese debut album had sold over a million copies, allowing them to join the ‘Million Seller’ ranks, as confirmed recently by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. This is an all-time first for a Korean girl group.
