Wonder Girls’ “The DJ is Mine” is a hit at CES 2012

Recently, the Wonder Girls flew to Las Vegas, Nevada to unveil their music video for “The DJ is Mine“, where it met with a favorable reaction!

The event took place on January 11th during the CES 2012, the world’s largest international consumer technology trade show. It was attended by the Wonder Girls, JYP producer J.Y. Park, movie producer Nick Cannon as well as the School Gyrls, the ‘rival group’ in the film.

JYPE’s representatives remarked, “The Wonder Girls’ MV was a big hit at the CES, receiving much interest and anticipation. Those present at the event as well as media representatives expressed their wonder as they watched, and we are excited to see what kind of response the movie premiere will meet with. We hope that everyone in Korea is equally excited for us.”

For “The DJ is Mine”, the Wonder Girls boldly shook off their signature ‘Wonder Girls’ sound to incorporate the trendy dubstep-pop sound. Many respected names in the industry participated in the production of the new single, including top-class composer Cri$tyle (Rihanna‘s “Only Girl“), as well as Enrique Iglesias and Bruno Mars. The girls were further supported by a strong team who’ve worked with A-list celebrities, such as Beyonce‘s choreographer Jonte MoaningB.O.B‘s MV director Ethan Lader, and Katy Perry‘s personal stylist Jonny Wujek.

Meanwhile, J.Y. Park’s collaboration project with Monster headphones, ‘Diamond Tears‘, was also showcased for the first time at the 2012 CES.

This is the first time that Monster collaborated with an Asian entertainment brand, and fans of JYP can look forward to future headphone designs from other artists such as 2PM and the Wonder Girls.
