Comedian Choi Hyo Jong has revealed that he’s in a state of wonder over his increase in popularity and subsequent raise in income.
On January 14th, Choi Hyo Jong appeared on KBS 2TV’s ‘Entertainment Relay – Guerilla Date’, where he attracted a large crowd of people, all aiming to catch a glimpse of him. During his ‘Guerilla Date’, he revealed that thanks to his popularity, his income has grown by quite a substantial margin. “My income is now 100 times greater than before,” he said.
Choi Hyo Jong has also been receiving many love calls for various events and show programs.
It seems his talents were all the more coveted after he received the Excellence Comedy Award from the ‘ KBS Entertainment Awards’. Choi Hyo Jong commented, “I’m not disappointed for being a co-winner for the Excellence Comedy Award, but it would have been really nice if I received the Best Comedy Award along with Kim Joon Ho.”
But Choi Hyo Jong isn’t letting himself get carried away by his skyrocketing popularity. On January 15th, he tweeted, “I hear from a lot of people that I have been losing the passion that I had when I was a rookie. I keep denying it but I think I need to hear it one more time.”
Choi Hyo Jong is currently on two popular corners in KBS’s ‘Gag Concert’, and recently has been appointed as an MC on Mnet’s ‘A More Dangerous Blind Date’.
