Lee Da Hae's lawsuit has came to a final decision and she is responsible to pay Ocean Film for their partial loss

On September 2nd, the Seoul Central District Court made a judgment in favor of the plaintiff, the production company of movie “Coffee”, Ocean Film, in the amount of 21,000,000 KRW on the lawsuit against Lee Da Hae for damages.


The courts revealed that the fact that Lee Da Ha had made a verbal agreement for her appearance in “Coffee”, however, she refused the role only 10 days prior to the actual filming. As such, the court had decided that Lee Da Hae should pay the loss of the production expenses including the cost of costume production, as well as part of the staff labor costs, in compensation. However, the court also take into consideration that the filming of the movie has been delayed, so they found Lee Da Hae’s liability to be about 40% deciding in a partial judgment for the plaintiff.


Ocean Film stated that they had an agreement with Lee Da Hae from December of 2010 regarding this movie, but Lee Da Hae suddenly refused the role in February last year. To this, Ocean Film filed a lawsuit against Lee Da Hae claiming breach of contract and requesting 360,000,000 KRW in compensation for their damage.
