Character posters of the to be released crime thriller film “The Thieves” were released to the public today, including ones featuring Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hae Sook and Oh Dal Soo.
“The Thieves” follows the story of ten thieves from Korea and China who go to Macau on a job to steal the infamous jewel “Tear of the Sun” from one of the casinos.
In the official posters, Kim Hae Sook abandoned her usual kind, motherly image, transforming into a proud, lavishly dressed thief. On the other hand, Oh Dal Soo’s poster is comedic and interesting as his character - his shaggy, rough edge look in the poster suits his cowardly Casanova personality. Lastly, Kim Soo Hyun plays the arrogant and hotheaded newcomer thief to the group - these traits clearly exhibited in his character poster. In an interview, Kim Soo Hyun revealed that he was not at all nervous about working with some of the most prolific actors in the Korean film industry, in fact, being with people who have had so much experience gave him confidence to act with more passion.
“The Thieves” will begin showing in cinemas across Korea on 25 July.
