Shinhwa has been named the new MCs for South Korea’s first charity donation program, ‘A New Life for Children‘.
The program will focus on aiding children battling leukemia, cancer, and other rare diseases. Shinhwa expressed, “We’re glad to be able to participate in a meaningful program that helps children suffering from cancer and other illnesses.” Previously, Andy and TEEN TOP took five child patients out to a baseball game.
The show itself was launched in 1990, and has received over $2.6 million USD in donations over the course of the past 22 years, which has in turn helped to fund the surgeries of over 8,500 children.
The ‘Children’s Day’ special of the show will broadcast on May 5th.
