U-KISS member Dongho‘s tweet in response to the Block B interview issue has stirred up controversy with netizens’ split reactions.
On February 20th, Dongho had tweeted, “I am a 7,000 Won ($6) singer“, which was a response to Block B’s comment on the Thailand flood, as the group had stated they only had 7,000 won to donate to the Thailand flood relief.
Netizens responded with, “Block B must be going crazy that even young Dongho knows the truth”, “His diss is daebak. I feel more relieved”, and “I applaud Dongho’s ambition.”
However, some responses were more critical as they stated, “His words are too rash”, “Does he really need to be this sarcastic?”, and “He seems to be doing this with his Thai fans in mind, but this isn’t the way to go about it.”
In response to the flurried responses, Dongho erased the tweet and left an apology with, “It seems that the tweet was thoughtless. I am sorry. I will be more careful in the future.” A majority of the netizens questioned the necessity for Dongho to formally apologize.
Meanwhile, Block B’s agency gave an official apology with, “The fault lies largely on the company for not teaching the idols correctly. Even though it is late, we will work on the areas where they lack the most, such as their music, their attitude and the way they view the world. We will work our best to support the idols so issues like this will not happen again.”
