New girl group SPICA will be spending their Lunar New Year in rehearsal sessions for their debut.
SPICA’s agency, B2M Entertainment, told Star News that “The SPICA members will be going home on January 21st and 22nd for the holiday weekend, but will return soon after for their dance and singing rehearsals on Lunar New Year’s day [the 23rd] and on the 24th.”
The agency continued, “The debut day is coming fast and the members are practicing harder than ever.”
SPICA will release their debut album on February 8th, and are scheduled to make their television debut the next day through Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’. All five of the members are prepared to sacrifice their holiday for the sake of a successful debut.
SPICA is comprised of talented members who have different backgrounds in the entertainment business. Yang Ji Won was a former member of 5Girls along with G.NA, After School’s UEE, Wonder Girls’ Yubin, and SECRET‘s Hyosung.
Park Na Rae was a contestant in 2009’s ‘Superstar K1’ who has made it up all the way to the top ten. Kim Boa has been part of the chorus line for many girl group’s hit songs, and has been given the nickname ‘the female K.Will’. Additionally, many are looking forward to the seeing the skills of members Park Joo Hyun and Kim Bo Hyung.
On January 10th, SPICA released their music video for “Potently” featuring labelmate Lee Hyori. The cameo of a high profile star and the members’ interesting backgrounds helped garner a huge wave of public interest in the girls.
