Lee Hyori donates her appearance fee for KBS documentary to charity





Singer Lee Hyori continues to amaze netizens with her kind heart, as it was recently revealed that she donated her appearance fee from one of her latest projects.


According to KBS, the idol will be providing the narration for a new KBS documentary called, ‘KBS Special – The Everyday Heroes Around Us‘.


This documentary, which will get aired on January 22nd, will focus on everyday heroes who generously give to the less fortunate.


Lee Hyori’s episode featured a married couple who have been dubbed as ‘The Korean Pancake Couple’, since they travel the country to cook free Korean pancakes (also known as ‘Hotteok’) to hungry children and the disabled.


Their kindness moved Hyori so much that she decided to donate her appearance fee to their cause.


A staff member from the documentary stated, “Hyori feels that her donation is nothing to be proud of and is maintaining a humble attitude.”


Lee Hyori has long demonstrated her giving attitude by donating $50,000 to provide heating for 300 senior citizens living alone, in addition to her consistant campaign for animal rights.
