Girl group After School held their 3rd fan meeting ‘2012 Let’s Play, Playgirlz’ last Sunday, and former member Kahi also participated in it to add more glitz to the event.
The fan meeting was held at the Art Center Theatre S at Sookmyung Women’s University where the After School members perform special stages that might even be more exciting than a concert.
On this day, member E-Young who is able to play more than 6 different instruments, showed her vocal ability and guitar skills with an acoustic performance of ‘Officially Missing You’; Juyeon who assumes the role of ‘group’s prettiest face’ put on a daring performance of ‘I Am a Man’ and won a lot of applause from male fans in particular. Special mention must be made of Juyeon who gave up on going on a vacation, and instead spent hours in the studio rehearsing for her special stage.
Also on this day was a special stage performed by JungAh, Juyeon and U-ie who formed a new Orange Caramel group. Despite being the oldest members in the group, the newly-formed trio weren’t in any way inferior to the original Orange Caramel members of Raina, Nana, and Lizzy and were equally adorable. Their performance no doubt added much party flavour on the day.
Another surprise was the appearance of former member, Kahi who had graduated earlier this year. After receiving a graduation certificate and presents from fans, Kahi expressed in excitement, “I will never forget this day. I believe After School will bring even more thrilling performances in future to repay fans for all the love. I will always support them regardless of what they do.”
Although the fan meeting was held in Korea, fans from Japan, America, Malaysia, Thailand and many other countries also attended the fan meeting to show their support.
Meanwhile, After School will hold a fan meeting in Japan on August 19th.
