It was revealed on August 29th that CNBLUE’s first Japanese studio album ‘CODE NAME BLUE’ has topped the Oricon daily chart on the first day of release.
By topping the Oricon daily chart, CNBLUE was the only Asian singer to break into the top 10 for the day and leaping the likes of famous Japanese band, Tokyo Jihen and many others.
CNBLUE’s management agency, FNC Entertainment expressed, “Topping the Oricon daily chart was extra meaningful for CNBLUE as they surpassed Japanese visual kei rock band The GazettE, popular girl group AKB48, Japanese rap rock band Dragon Ash, and many others.”
A day earlier on the 28th, CNBLUE performed at famous Japanese music program ‘Mezamashi Live’ where they revealed and performed their title track ‘Time is over’ for the first time.
‘Time is over’ had gotten much attention from fans as it was produced and composed by CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa who had gotten inspiration after watching Hollywood film ‘The Avengers’.
Meanwhile, CNBLUE will embark on their ‘CNBLUE Arena tour2012~Come on!’ which will see them perform in 6 major Japanese cities simultaneously throughout the month of October.
