Actor Kim Dong Wook enlists for national service

On the afternoon of August 30th, actor Kim Dong Wook officially enlisted for national service at the military training center in Nonsan city, South Chungcheong province.


After completing his basic military training, Kim Dong Wook will serve as a member of the Whistle Theatre Group under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.


The Whistle Theatre Group was established in 2000 and is a performing group catered to performing for the handicapped, seniors who live alone, youths, and other military personnel. Korean celebrities who had served under this group in the past include Jo Seung Woo and Ryu Soo Young.


Kim Dong Wook made his debut in 2003 with the movie ‘Tube’ and also starred in popular MBC dramas like ‘Coffee Prince’ and ‘Rose and Dandelions’. He recently starred in the movie ‘Royal Concubine’ and showed his limitless potential with his portrayal.
