Anticipation for idol drama ‘To The Beautiful You’ continues to rise among fans after the production company released new stills of SHINee’s Minho training for his high jump.
Minho plays the role of Kang Tae Joon who is a talented high jumper with a stubborn and introverted personality. The new set of stills perfectly shows off the image of Kang Tae Joon who had achieved a world record in the youth competition.
Staff present at the filming expressed, “It’s hard not to mistake Minho for a real high jump athlete because of his toned body and perfect leaping ability. He is really portraying his character well.”
According to reports, Minho had specially enlisted former national high jumper and a current member of the Korea Association of Athletes Federation, Kim Tae Young for some personal training as preparation in filming for the drama.
The production company stated, “It’s not farfetched to say that Minho is now living as Kim Tae Joon in real life. He has been analysing the role of Kang Tae Joon for a long time and have been training to high jump while filming at the same time. He has totally immersed himself into the character. Everyone can look forward to seeing Minho as Kang Tae Joon in the drama soon.”
‘To The Beautiful You’ is a drama adaptation of popular Japanese manga series ‘Hana Kimi’ which talks of a girl, Jae Hee (Sulli) who disguises herself as a boy to sneak into a boys’ high school to meet her idol Kang Tae Joon (Minho) and their ensuing love story.
The drama will air from August 15th through SBS every Wednesday and Thursday.
