Fans of Lee Jun ki and Shin Min Ah will have to wait a little longer for their drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ after MBC announced that the drama will now air in August.
Scheduled to be broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday starting from the 25th of this month, MBC has decided to push it to August 15th instead due to it possibly clashing with coverage of the ‘2012 London Olympics’ next month.
Lee Junki also tweeted about the delay through his Twitter, “’Arang and the Magistrate has been delayed from end July till August 15th for the premiere. Although it will be a little late in meeting in meeting Eun Oh, I believe everyone will be able to wait for me right?”
MBC decided on this move as the Olympics happens once every 4 years and it might also take away the focus on the new drama. In its place, MBC will air Olympics specials, and also allowing the cast and production of ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ to have a less hectic schedule.
‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is based on a famous folklore from Miryang City which revolves around a romantic story between a vengeful ghost, Arang and a magistrate, Eun Oh.
