‘Infinity Challenge’ draws over 17,000 applicants for ‘I Am a Singer’ parody

Earlier, MBC‘s popular variety show ‘Infinity Challenge‘ announced that they would be parodying ‘I Am a Singer‘ through a segment they’d like to call, ‘I Am Kind of a Singer‘. The program invited the public to come experience the show, and over 17,000 hopefuls responded with applications to reserve seats.

Staff revealed that less than a day after releasing the application, ‘I Am Kind of a Singer’ received 17,380 entries as of the morning of November 23rd, possibly exceeding the amount of seat applications for the original program.

Since one of the key points of ‘I Am a Singer’ is its audience, who decides which artist will be eliminated, ‘Infinity Challenge’ also reached out to its viewership to cast a group of fair and balanced judges for the program. The production team will choose 300 lucky winners through a lottery system, and will hand out two tickets per person.
